ประเด็นคือ – กระทรวงการคลัง สั่งหน่วยงานราชการทุกแห่ง เชื่อมระบบและติดตั้งเครื่องอีดีซี รองรับนโยบายสังคมไร้เงินสด เริ่ม 27 มีนาคมนี้
วันที่ 3 ก.พ. 61 ผู้สื่อข่าวรายงานว่า ยอดการชำระเงินอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ผ่านพร้อมเพย์และบัตรเดบิตที่เพิ่มขึ้นต่อเนื่อง ทำให้ นายสมชัย สัจจพงษ์ ปลัดกระทรวงการคลัง บอกว่า รู้สึกพอใจผลการดำเนินโครงการแนตชัน อีเพย์เมนต์ จึงอาจไม่ขยายระยะเวลาดำเนินโครงการแจกโชคผ่านการใช้บัตรเดบิต ซึ่งมีเงินรางวัลสูงสุด 1 ล้านบาท สำหรับผู้ใช้บัตร และร้านค้าที่ติดตั้งเครื่องอีดีซี เนื่องจากข้อจำกัดด้านงบประมาณ

ขณะที่ นายอภิศักดิ์ ตันติวรวงศ์ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการคลัง กล่าวภายหลังการประชุมคณะกรรมการขับเคลื่อนยุทธศาสตร์ แนตชันนอล อีเพย์เมนต์ ว่า ได้ออกคำสั่งให้หน่วยงานราชการทุกแห่ง รับและจ่ายเงินเป็นระบบอิเล็กทรอนิกส์ ตั้งแต่วันที่ 27 มีนาคม 2561 เป็นต้นไป

นอกจากนี้ ที่ประชุมฯ ยังเห็นชอบให้สถาบันการเงิน เริ่มให้บริการ “รีเควส ทู เพย์” เพื่อลดความเสี่ยงปัญหาฉ้อโกงจากการซื้อขายสินค้าออนไลน์ โดยระบบนี้จะทำหน้าที่เป็นตัวกลาง ยืนยันการรับจ่ายเงินจากผู้ซื้อกับผู้ขาย
