วันที่ 26 ส.ค. 62 สื่อต่างประเทศรายงานว่า ลีโอนาร์โด ดิคาปริโอ ยอดนักแสดงแถวหน้าของฮอลลีวู้ด วัย 44 ปี ได้บริจาคเงินผ่านองค์กร Earth Alliance ที่ตัวเขาก่อตั้งขึ้นร่วมกับ ลอรีน พาวเวลล์ จ็อบส์ และ เบรน เชธ เป็นจำนวนกว่า 5 ล้านเหรียญสหรัฐฯ หรือราว 153 ล้านบาท เพื่อช่วยเหลือองค์กรท้องถิ่นในการควบคุมไฟป่าอเมซอน ที่รุนแรงที่สุดในรอบ 5 ปี
ล่าสุดทางประธานาธิบดีฌาอีร์ โบลโซนาโร ประกาศยอมรับความช่วยเหลือจากนานาชาติแล้ว โดยมีอิราเอลเข้าไปช่วยเหลือแล้วเป็นชาติแรก ด้านประธานาธิบดีเอมมานูเอล มาครง ของฝรั่งเศสประกาศระหว่างการประชุมสุดยอด G 7 ที่ฝรั่งเศสว่า “ชาติสมาชิก G7 ที่ประกอบด้วยฝรั่งเศส, เยอรมัน, อิตาลี, สหราชอาณาจักร, สหรัฐอเมริกา, แคนาดา และญี่ปุ่น พร้อมมอบความช่วยเหลือแก่บราซิลทั้งด้านเทคนิคและด้านการเงินเพื่อดับไฟป่าในครั้งนี้”
